Authorize.net Payment Transaction Failed message

We have a site that is using the standard Authorize.net payment gateway. All the information is added correctly. However, it randomly will stop working and display the error message :"Payment transaction Failed. Reason: Gateway error: The merchant login ID or password is invaild or the account is inactive"

 

However, if we simple re-enter the same information again and hit save it will start working again. 

 

Anyone else having this issue and how do you fix?
