I am new to magento and to this forum so i hope you can help me understand parts of megento. I have bought a theme not through magento but through another company and i asked a question about nav bars, basically what i wanted to do is have the top menu showing certain catorgies.and leftside menu showing main catorgies.
I thought this would be an easy process, but everytime i create a catorgy it duplcates in the top navagation bar.
I have been told the default in Magento the categories all have the option of being enabled, disabled, or of being enabled but not visible in navigation, but both the top nav and side navs use these default settings, so will both always show the same categories.
How would you make categories invisible.
please advise
