Extensions that require a developer to install

We have a cause marketing platform for online retailers and our plugin appears post-purchase as a pop-up, so brands can donate with each sale, to a charity of the customers choosing. My question is - are all Magento extensions self-installed by the customer, or can it be an enquiry like on shopify and then installed by our tech team?

No I didn't and I would love to resolve it!

I also submitted the question to support but never heard back.

Our extension will always require some developer assistance, as some elements are customised to your preferences. I need to know if and how this would pass through the magento testing.
