what is the purpose of cart rule Buy X get Y free.
Here X and Y are variable and both can be any product BUT instead inBuy X get Y free is for same product only. Which is a huge limitation.
And when searching on forums or community instead of providing a solution they have asked to purchase an extension.
This is totally naive comments coming from the community members.
On github I saw a person opening an issue https://github.com/magento/magento2/issues/7795 but they closed it saying this a non-issue. But instead this is not the right behaviour or verbiage for the shopping cart rule instead it should be Buy X and get Y of same product Free.
