I have a store where we would like to run a set of promotions where if you buy 2 items from a certain category - you get them for £8 regardless of their individual cost. If you buy 3 you get them for £10.
From through various extensions I cannot find one that mentions this time of promotion where the cart total can be a fixed price based on the items rather than a fixed discount or % of the cart total.
The only way around this I can think of is to have a catalog rule that makes all the products in the selected category the same price say £5 then if there are 2 I take of £2 if there are 3 I take off £5 which would achieve the same outcome.
Any suggestions (extensions or other wise) would be greatly appreciated.
