We want to create collections of products. Each collection will comprise 4 x 4 SKU, for a total of 16 items per collection.
If we create a GROUP from existing products, customers will be able to change the amount per SKU, which we don't want them to. The collection is created from a fixed number of each product.
If we create a SINGLE PRODUCT for each collection, the inventory records it as selling 1 item, not 16.
Is there a solution to this?
Hi @KGEE,
I would make the product as a bundle instead of grouped product.
This way, you will be able to control the qty of each product.
Ex here: http://www.coolmagentodk.magentodemo.dk/vip/my-bundle-product.html
I have set min. 1 qty of each product.
Admin would look like this:
Let me know what you think :0)
Hi,
Thanks for your reply regarding this matter. I have included a link to the item I am working on http://www.australianplantsonline.com.au/perfect-pinks.html The solution you have provided has helped, although I am unable to display the price for each bundled item with out it changing the price of the bundled product. Also the site has settings for minimum purchase, as the bundled item is classed as a single item customers are unable to proceed through the checkout.
I really appreciate your help.
Hi again,
Have a look at my setting under the "Price" tab of my example.
This shows the price of each product in the bundle and adds up the individual prices as a total.
Also you should consider to remove the * (required) indication.
For minimum Order purchase - there should be a work around.
Could be done with edit of files like: http://magento.stackexchange.com/questions/54495/exclude-some-items-from-minimum-order-rule or a module, ex. like: https://github.com/unleashedtech/min-order-fee-magento
