sitemap.xml excluding deactivated products?

Hi, my sitemap.xml generated by magento includes deactivated products, that creates different errors in SEO Tools I use to check the site. 

Is there a way to exclude deactivated products from sitemap.xml ?

Hi @PetFun,

You're having an error in sitemap.xml with deactivated products in your site even if you correct with your sitemap file, Google only needs to approve your changes after you submit your file but it may take long time to getting approved. For this issue I think there is no immediate solution.

A sitemap is usually approved within 24 hours or faster  

Still you should try to avoid errors in it because it distracts the google bot and is wasting your crawl budget
