Creates a password protected website

I want to password protect my website, no login. Just simply be able to access the site if you have the password. Don't see any available yet?

Also how do I enter maintenance mode while accessing the website? And how do I get others, store managers, editors etc to access the back end while in maintenance mode. Is the system seriously limited to me whitelisting their ips? And is there really no way to enter maintenance mode without the CLI?
