As improved site speed is considered as one of the ranking factors, use Meetanshi's Magento 2 Defer Parsing of JavaScript to defer the JavaScript to optimize the load time and improve the user experience. 

The pro version of the extension allows excluding home page, controllers and Magento store paths from defering javascript.
