Magento multivendor marketplace

Hello Experts, 

I'm sure this has been asked before but Its a bit overwhelming to dig up the solution for this.

we want to launch a a mobile first multi vendor marketplace that is bi lingual (Arabic and English) and want to allow for sellers to communicate with buyers.   We have already determined that magento is the way to go for the shopping cart engine but are not sure what are the best multi vendor marketplaces extensions are out there, what is most popular? what is best supported? what is best priced vs functionality.
