Provide customer personalization in terms of Product recommendation, Marketing ads, AB testing

Dear All,

Appreciate if you please let me know what is the preferred and most common way of performing website personalization in Magento based web stores. We have a business requirement wherein we need to do:

1. Product recommendation based on customer purchase history, product browsing history, geolocation

2. Marketing ads in terms of popup, banners, cross sell / up sell

3. AB testing

Are there any standard Magento extensions available to do this personalization? Advantage of this extensions is that, it sits on top of Magento and we'd not need to feed any data (products catalogs, customer) to the third party. Or third party (SAAS) products like Qubit, Optimizely, Monetate are the right solution for such requirement?

Yes, it is a Magento 1 solution and it integrates with the platform automatically. You do not need to provide it with any data or else. And the rules are created from the backend by your Magento admins.
