Website Payments Pro Direct API Integration UK Magento 2

Looking for an extension that integrates Website Payments Pro Direct API Integration for Magento 2. I know by default it can integrates with the Hosted version but this uses an ugly iframe and I want to use the transparent redirect option. This option was available on Magento 1 but nothing for Magento 2. Can anyone help?

I'd love to know why this was omitted in Magento 2, and if there is a workaround or an extension offering this functionality. The hosted payments experience is dire.
