Try Meetanshi's Magento 2 Maintenance Page to show user friendly notice when the website is in maintenance mode.

Rather than just showing a notice, you can display social media buttons, countdown timer to show when the website will be working and live and also, the newsletter subscription box so that the users can subscribe to notifications.

Re: coming soon page with subscription

If your website is under maintenance due to a theme update and re-platforming, adding a subscription box on your maintenance page is an excellent way to retain customer interest and ensure they are notified when your site is back online.

To implement this effectively, I highly recommend using the BSS Commerce Magento 2 extension for the Coming Soon & Maintenance Page

Once your site is live, you can use the collected email addresses to send newsletters and announcements, ensuring you maintain your connection with your audience and drive them back to your website.

This extension is user-friendly, feature-packed, and a must-have for anyone going through a website re-platforming or redesign. Check it out here to streamline the process and minimize customer loss during maintenance.
