Magento connect manager not showing in admin under system menu in Magento 2

When looking for the magento connect manager in the system admin tab, I see no such choice. I read another post that had the same issue but that was solved by correcting permissions. I have checked permissions and tried adding downloader to the end of my url (two things I saw in a previous post) The permissions are correct and when I added downloader to the url I got nothing. 

I have checked the version for an upgrade and I am using the latest magento version.

Hi @SusanAbraham and @Landshark67, what version of Magento are you running? The location and terminology have moved in Magento 2.

i had the same problem. i am using the latest version of magento but in system tab i don't see the option of Magento Connect. Kindly help me to remove this issie.
