Sync Marketplace Account: Please wait... doesn't stop

Hi

I've logged in with my Public and Private keys in Component Manager and clicked on Sync button. Then "Please wait..." appears and stays there.

I'm on shared hosting and I assume something's missing? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
