Fatal Error while Installing Magento 1.9

Hi i tried to install magento 1.9 by ftping the files to my web hosting account. 

I am expecting to see the magento installation wizard when i access my URL . However , i see the foloowing error instead 

Fatal error: Class 'Mage_Core_Controller_Request_Http' not found in /home/be/public_html/app/code/core/Mage/Core/Model/App.php on line 1238

Can someone advice please. Thank you

Are you sure you have loaded all the files? 

Who is your host?

Did you set permissions?

I am using a local hosting company hostsg.

I have set the permission for the following directory

Is there more to it ?

  • magento/var/.htaccess
• Directories
  • magento/app/etc
  • magento/var
  • magento/media (including subdirectories
