Installation problem on 1und1 Hosting

Hello everyone,

i try to install Magento Community version on 1und1, after upload all files, changed the .htaccess file, and the directory permissions i try to start web installation but i see only the site without css or js scripts and in the console i found 19 error, mostly are (for different files):

http://www.my_domain.com/magento/js/scriptaculous/effects.js Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden).

Someone can help me to find a solutions?
Maybe the problem is in the installation process or maybe in the 1und1 hosting??

Thank you

Giordano

Hello @babo_g

We have faced permission issue with 1 and 1 hosting before, you tried to give the permission to the folder, but make sure again it has been applied or not.

I agree with @theMageComp that invalid file permissions can indeed result in the 403 error.

Try applying the correct file permissions for all files and directories (check with your hosting provider on their recommended file permissions) and see if the files are accessible.

I think they must have one-click installation for magento. Did you try it?
