Installing Magento for the first time

Hello,

I am a new one to magento.

I am trying to install magento files that I was given. I was also given a mamp folder that has many files inside I want to install the database from mamp folder to wamp.

Does anyone know how can I do that?

Are you trying to install this on your local server using MAMP?
