Error Message: One or more indexers are invalid. Make sure your Magento cron job is running.
Hi all!
I'm a total newbie to Magento!
I'm getting the above error message, and have done enough research to know that the solution is confusing me greatly. I wondered if someone could give me a merchants answer to this problem?
We are wanting to switch to Magento, and like it so far. But I'm starting to worry it's a bit too complicated for us.
We are using a Linux hosting package through GoDaddy which included the one click install option. GoDaddy uses cPanel! I've read that it involved running a cron job, and other command prompts but I have no idea where to start or where to put anything.
A dummies step by step guide for where I need to go and what I need to put in would be amazing!
I'm willing to learn, and don't want to give up on Magento just yet!
Much appreciated, Natalie.

Re: Error Message: One or more indexers are invalid. Make sure your Magento cron job is running.
Hi Natalie,
Please follow this link http://devdocs.magento.com/guides/v2.1/config-guide/cli/config-cli-subcommands-index.html to get an understanding of Magento indexes work.
FYI - if you are looking for just a quick solution then you need to run the following in your server shell.
php bin/magento indexer:reindex
