Just Installed, but layout broken completely

Hi there, good morning.

 

I just installed Magento 2.x on my website, www.athletigear.com, but the visuals are completely broken. The images wont show and in the admin login URL, there are two password fields.

 

Can anyone help, please?

Hi Dimitry,

 

Thank you so much for your response.

 

1. If the file permissions weren't set, the pre-check before installing would declare an error, so I think it is fine.

 

But for all the other problems, I don't have shell access. I have installed it on shared hosting with access to cPanel, so I'm not sure how to do all those changes.

Hi Dimitry,

 

After playing a bit with cPanel, I was able to set the permissions as requested.

I was also able to see that all relevant .htaccess files exist.

 

I just can't seem to set up that static content file and Magento isn't running in a sub-dir. Its in /public_html/ which I guess can be a sub-dir since it's a shared server?

 

Any advice?
