Who can I speak with at Magento? Is there a human to connect with? I run a large e-commerce home decor business with 12,000 products. We have had nothing but a nightmare experience since doing the switch from Magento 1.9 to Magento 2.2.4 - nothing works, I have a development team that has been working around the clock and every day it's a new crisis. I fear this is going to put us out of business. Who can we talk to at Magento- are there Magento technical people we can hire to come in and help us fix this situation?
Hi,
I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue.
M1 to M2 migration can be hard.
Are you able to go back to Magento 1.9?
I'm willing to help - drop me a line https://www.goivvy.com/ .
Hi @mhawks
Sorry to hear this!
Magento does indeed have people that provide professional services and or migration assistance that I've worked with in the past at a previous company I worked for.
Your best option to reach them is via their contact form here:
https://magento.com/services/contact
@sherrie may also be able to help get you a fast track contact.
Hi @mhawks, so sorry to hear about your experience.
As @Stuart M stated we do have a services team: https://magento.com/services
Alternatively, you could contact one of our partners to help get you sorted: https://magento.com/partners/choose-solution-partner
If you're on Magento Commerce, vs Magento Open Source, then you should already have access to our support team, but if not—please let me know.
I also hate it
WIth Magento 1.9x less was more, with Magento 2.x and especially 2.4x even less is even more, every extension, every code change, every configuration change, has to have a justified reason why it is there to increase sales and profits.
"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex. It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage - to move in the opposite direction." - Albert Einstein
For the sites we work on including our own we don't get paid for creating more code, our return is creating the same functionality with the absolute minimal amount of code and extensions possible, only that way can you have stability.
I'm really sorry to hear about your tough experience with the Magento 2 upgrade. That's incredibly frustrating, especially for a business like yours. Magento does offer technical support, so I'd recommend reaching out to their official support channels. They should be able to connect you with experts who can help resolve your issues. Also, you can try this software for asset management as an alternative. I hope that helps!
