We have a Magento store with over 32000 products.
We are on magento 1.9.x.
How tough is it to move to Magento 2.x without disturbing any in the backend and the SEF URLs ?
And whats the sagest way ?
Any tutorial link for the complete migration ?
You can find some migration solutions such as http://tinyurl.com/uptomag2 With about 30.000 products, it maybe is the safest way to maintain all database. Of cource, you can migrate yourself. However migrating manually is more suitable for small shop with a few entities and simple entities.

We have a 9-min video tutorial that walks you through all steps throughout Magento data migration process.
https://youtu.be/Jvr8d3OeB8M
Even though the video refers to our migration tool (UB Data Migration Pro), it helps to give you a closer look into how our migration tool can save you tons of work.
We have UB Data Migration Lite (free) in place where you can test to see if the tool is a good fit for you or not (The video above also applies for this Lite version).
PS. Many users who used our Migration tool have successfully migrated bigger databases (over 50,000 records)
Hope that helps.
For reference, 32000 products is not huge, worked on sites with scaling up to millions but in the 100,000s would be considered large. The simple answer is, you don't. There are many reasons for this but they are not publicly acceptable so will not list them, if you decide to go ahead you want to do a migration, a new install not an upgrade. You will then have endless problems with themes, extensions and custom automation code along with those themes and extensions not being compatible with new versions of PHP.
The larger the store the more issues you will come across, so at 32,000 products which is between SMB & SME it will not be simple. You also have to bear in mind Magento2 -does not- provide extra business functionality, it is a technical system with, for all intents, no backwards compatibility to Magento1. This comes from experience, not theory, of launching new Magento2 stores, the architects rolled them all back to 1.9x.
Just want to add one note that our UB Data Migration tool ports important fields in Categories and Products, including meta description, page title, Url key. So your category and product pages SEO optimization remains reserved in Magento 2 once the migration process completes.
You can export database to CSV files but can not import them to dream shopping carts because they have difference database structure. So the best way is importing manually.

- Exporting database of target cart to CSV files.
- Select data in CSV files of source store and filling to CSV target store.
it would be very very cumbersome that way
