Benefits of WooCommerce
So what are some of the advantages of using WooCommerce? What makes this e-commerce platform stand out from the rest in the world of online shopping? Let’s take a look.
The Benefits of Magento
So what is it that makes this e-commerce option so formidable? What are some of its specific benefits over other options? How does it compare to WooCommerce? Let’s take a look.
=> Therefore, in order to decide which e-commerce platform is better, you always need to keep in mind the size as well as the needs of your online store. Instead of searching for the best platform, you should choose the right platform that best matches your needs .
=> If you want to start a small business with enough performance and easy to use, there can be nothing more suitable than WooCommerce.
=> Conversely, if you plan to scale your business up to be a global brand, Magento 2 is the best option for you. The platform suits businesses with large product catalogs.
With Magento 2.4 and being FORCED to use ElasticSearch, you can NOT compare the two because you can't install Magento on a shared server, as 80%+ of hosting companies, especially shared hosting will not be supporting ElasticSearch. This FACT alone killed Magento as a competitor to WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Shopify (if paying $30/month for ElasticSearch Cloud why not just host with Shopify!?), Jooma, Open Cart, etc. etc. Unless an SMB can use a cheap shared hosting server, Magento is out of reach till you get to Enterprise.
+Woocommerce => Easy to use, friendly, strong community. Suitable for small to medium business
+Magento 2 => Require a lot of customizations, more powerful eCommerce features compared to Woocommerce (add to website through extensions). May need inhouse Magento 2 developer to maintain and update the website because everytime Adobe releases a new update => There's a lot of work to do with the new version.
Magento 2 is best for Medium to Big business, I do not recommend Magento 2 for small or new business with limited budget
