Unable to install Magento ver 2.1.7 through cPanel

I am trying to install Magento on my new VPS server through cPanel

What I did was, I uploaded the zip file to public_html directory as I want to install magento in the main domain. After this I extracted the files. Now when I visit my domain i.e., www.domain.com a magento install page should appear which isn't appearing.

I followed the normal googled articles which suggest to do this.

What am I doing wrong ??

Is it because maybe my server is not magento compatible ??

Hi @ananttah,

I guess you should see some Magento page saying something about requirments.

Maybe you can check your access and error webserver logs to be sure your in the right directory and no errores were detected?

On running the magento-check.php it states that

  • You are missing the iconv extension

But i checked my VPS, it is installed and enabled

What to do ???

Which magento-check.php file are you using?.

Magento2 check it self and shows you which dependencies are failing.
