Category Is Anchor not working

All of our categories have "Is Anchor" set to Yes so that the left-hand navigation shows up. I recently discovered one category that had "Is Anchor" set to No (so when you clicked on that category you lost the left-hand navigation). I've tried changing that No to a Yes, flushed the cache, confirmed that the value is really Yes, etc but we are still losing the left-hand navigation for that category only. Any ideas on what I might be missing?

With setting up Category Is Anchor to Yes, Also check if its not done:

1. Open attribute and set layered navigation -> yes

2. If it does not work, reindex from system->index management (even though Magento wasn't asking for a reindex).

I confirmed Catalog -> Layered Navigation is set to Yes. Is Anchor is set to yes (for the one category that isn't working properly) and reindexed all indexes. Still having the same issue.

Could be the theme which is breaking it, which theme are you using ? also which magento version ?
