Magento admin Global Record Search not working

 I just purchased a search extension recently because I want to have an autocomplete search on the front-end. But the installation guy told me that the Global Record Search on the Admin panel is not working and it has a java script error  Ajax.Autocompleter is not a constructor. Since the extension is relying on Magento built-in java scripts that have auto complete option integrated, the extension does not work. What can I do to fix this?

You need to index the data in your admin panel.
