Manage stores best practice advice

Hey

I am in the process of setting up my first magento project. I have quite a particular requirement for the stores so I don't think it quite fits with the language setup.

I want to have a en, us, au store. That has different products, and a different menu structure but uses the same design and code base.

I also need it to run under one doman. Example domain.com/en | domain.com/us etc

Any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated.

To achieve this result make separate websites under manage stores. Each website should have it's own store. And each store should have it's own root category. Under categories you can create your own root catalogue for each store thus allowing to have independent menu structure and associated products.
