Moving products and order data to a new site

Hi

Not sure if this is in the right topic. We are redeveloping the website and doing it on a new install and server while the current site is live. We will need to transfer all of the products over and on the day we move over the new site we will have to transfer all customer and order data over to keep is current. Does the export and import allow this or are there any extensions that make this easier?

Thank you. And will this effectively transfer all the customer details and the orders etc without errors? Also can the same be used to export all of the products and maintain the association of the simple products with the configurable parents?

Yes, but it isn't easy for people who use this feature at the first time.

Default Magento uses for importing customers and products, not including orders import. However, there are many extensions on marketplace, you should try:
