Problem with Mage 'Promotional Gift' Extension

Does anyone have prior experience with this extension from Mage Store? I can't seem to be able to select free gift options from the front-end whether or not I set "Auto add gift items of Catalog Rules" to "Yes" or "No". I am still working on Imonggo 1.9. Hope to get some help. Thanks in advance.

I've often had trouble with MageStore extensions to be honest and they often require some work to get right. Have you tried using their support to see if they can help you get to the bottom of the issue?
