Hi everyone,
I've setup a new magento site running 1.9, I've gone and added a couple of products and made sure they're enabled, and have set the quantity to a 100 and stock availability to 'In stock' in the inventory section. But they're still showing as out of stock on the website so I was wondering if anyone had any idea as to what else could be causing it be out of stock?
Is there some setting somewhere that needs to be set to make the site live / make products in stock? I've had a look in System -> Configuration but can't see anything that would cause it to be out of stock. This is my first magento so might be missing something really obvious, any help appreciated!
Thanks
Did you reindex?
Did you flush cache?
Is this on a unedited core theme or is this a custom theme?
Just reindexed everything and flushed cache, still no luck.
This is the template I purchased, no custom edits so as is: https://themeforest.net/item/branchy-magento-responsive-theme/8792115
I've added those products to test the site but I can't seem to be able to get it in stock - maybe it's an error with the template? Not sure what it could be really.
Hello.
Are those simple products that are not showing?
In case they are complex, like configurable, the quantity os associated simple products should be more than 0, otherwise parent configurable will be out of stock as well.
@kab8609 The product's enabled and the visibility is set to 'catolog, search'.
This is how the categories are, had a look at the root default category and the software category they're in and nothing looks particularly untoward in there. http://imgur.com/a/2OCnb
Not entirely sure what you mean by is a website assigned to them? I think I saw something like that once before and it was assigned to the current site, but can't seem to find it again. Thanks
@eMagicOne Hi, thanks for the message. Is there a particular place in the admin panel when managing products to see if they're simple/complex? As far as I know they're separate simple products, I've set the quantity to a 100 on each, but I could be missing something if they're indeed complex but I'm not sure if they are.
Thanks
Can you post screenshots of a product that is having this issue with the following tabs? General, Websites, Inventory.
@Markkhan I have meant product type - simple, configurable, bundle etc.
You can check it in Catalog -> Manage products , column Type
In case products are simple, their stock depends on qty in stock status fields if products are configurable, grouped or bundled, then they have linked associated products stock levels of which influence parent goods.
By the way, you have mentioned that you looked in System->Configuration, have you set up there "Manage stock option" to Yes in tab Inventory - Product Stock Options?
@kab8609 Hi, I've posted the general and inventory of a product, plus the manage products screen. Couldn't see a tab of websites in the left hand menu though? Thanks, appreciate the help.
