Did you mean:

Remove /magento from url on IIS.

SOLVED

Remove /magento from url on IIS.

As the subject says, how can I set the url up so it says mysite.com rather than mysite.com/magento?

Thank you,

Rick.

Re: Remove /magento from url on IIS.

Did you originally install your magento into a folder called Magento on your server?

Getting the /magento out should be possible by:

  • Changing the Base url in Admin > System > Configration > Web
It is important you do this step first or else you will no longer be able to access the admin

  • Move all the files from /magento back a directory.
  • Remove all fodlers from inside of /var/cache/

Refresh the frontend and it should be okay!
