Setting up prices - help!

Hi there, here is my situation, hopefully someone can help.

I have a product and it ships as:

Single unit

Carton of 5

Pallet of 100

Now, I understand I can't just use product options for this as it won't affect the weight or stock properly on the item, so I tried using Configurable Products which make sense, however, when I select, say 'Carton of 5' from the dropdown on the configurable product the price doesn't change, and it is driving me crazy.

Can someone assist me or suggest a better way of doing this?

Custom options will help you acheiving your requirements.

Thanks, I looked into that but they offer no control over the weight of stock.

So if I set up a custom option for:

1 pallet of 100

Then when it is chosen, the price changes which is great but the postage will be wrong because Magento still thinks it's just a single product with a custom option.

Or am I missing something?

You can use Tier Price concept of Magento which will update the price according to that.
