Newby here and I have a problem with my Magento store. I am trying to add a promotion "Buy 3 for £10" with products that has a specific attribute.
Background:
We are an e-cigarette shop that sell all sorts of e-liquids that come in different strength and sized bottles. I have made each of the types a configurable product with simple products within the configurable product (An example of this would be flavour Tobacco Flavour, that comes in bottle sizes 10ml and 30ml and each of those sizes have strengths of 0mg 6mg 12mg 18mg. Each variation has its own simple product).
What I have done is gone through all of the bottles that are 10ml (small bottles) and added a yes/no attribute of 10ml deal and set it to yes.
I have added the below as my shopping cart settings.
Does anybody know what I am doing wrong? If I add 3 products with the attribute 10ml Deal of yes it doesn't show the discount.
Side note: I recently had to modify some code due to a bug in Magento core, i fixed it using this thread.

So I couldn't figure out why, I think it is related to how the attributes are passed to the checkout or something with configurable products. Instead I chose to use a attribute on the main configurable product (in my case brand of Hangsen) and add the price of the small bottle.
