When you have set up either shopping cart or catalog price rules to create promotions, how do you alert customers of the offers?
The possible variations of offers you can create is endless, but they aren't much use unless you can alert a customer on the category page or the product page.
How have you solved this problem?
You are perfectly right, it's important to let the clients know you are having a promotion. So here are some ideas:
1) Send a newsletter to existing customers.
2) Post a blog article about your promo.
3) Add banners. For example, our Special Promotions extension comes with an ability to create promo banners for your shopping cart price rules. We also have a separate Promo Banners extension available. Or you can use any other methods to add banners and labels to your store.
