Updating Magento Open Source to support future Microsoft LDAP changes?

With Microsoft planning to release a patch later in the year for Active Directory domain controllers to reject authentication requests through LDAP without channel binding & signing enabled, is there any guidance for users of Magento Open Source on how to update their Magento instance to support this?
