We have 2 shops in 5 languages and the problem is as follows:
If a client has chosen language on the website that is different from the language in ads he/she will be shown an error page. For example if he has chosen English language, but clicked the ad in French language and instead of being shown this page in English (even if this page has different url) it was shown an error page (“the page not found”) even though this page exists.
Such way of handling multiple languages is an error prone, because the link in one language should correspond (be connected with) the link in another language. This may be one of the reasons of decrease of number of conversions – the click is counted, but a person cannot reach the landing page and leaves the website.
Does anyone had similar problems? Which would be the best practise solution? Thanks
