required cron jobs for 1.9.2.4

Hi,

Sorry if posted in the wrong section.

I have an install of magento 1.9.2.4 in a Linux hosting environment.

I would just like to know what the required cron jobs are please, as I do not currently have any set up.

Hi @russell37uk

There are two file in Magento root cron.sh and cron .php , you have to set up either on to run at periodic time interval.

Please check this official documentation Installing and verifying Magento for the more details.

Actually some people prefer to use manual indexing and run reindex process during slow hours (such as 4:00am). This also requires a special cron job.
