IDS,Firewall,IPS for Magento website Serever

We are building a new magento website we need you help to know 

Can we configure our Server without External Firewall, IDS and IPS ? Are they must be configured?

What is the most necessary one to be configured ?  IPS, IDS or Frewall

It can be either one of it or all of it, depending on your payment gateway and PCI requirements. 

As a best practise, I will recommend running them all if possible and carefully tune them to suit your requirements.
