What is Required To Maintain a Magento Instalation

I am a very experienced internet marketer with very little knowledge on Magento.

I just inherited managing a site that brings in some millions of dollars a year and needs to be maintained.

Can you please refer me to excellen references that list out:

The Daily/Weekly/Monthly Maintenence that is required to keep the site humming and running smoothly.

If your Magento store is bring in millions a year, I highly suggest hiring an experienced Magento developer to help with the maintenance.

We are interviewing many different consultants/programmers etc.

What I am looking for is a checklist of all of the maintenence activities that should be done to keep the system healthy and working.

you obviously need some good sys.admin, to manage your systems,  and a programmer.

not sure about this checklist, but you just need to make sure your servers are secure and up to date.

you must have log and malware scanners, and cleanup your database. like truncate log tables and archive old orders, etc

Extentions Backed Up

Theme Files Backed Up

Log Scanners

Malware Scanners

Archive Old Orders

Truncate Log Tables

I am surprised no one in the community has ever made a checklist on what needs to be done?

What else needs to be done besides the above?

checklist is like a timetable - only good for one bus route...

Belong to how big of your site (traffic, product, order ...) what will decide how much of the job. You can post detail of your site and find a good magento guy to handle it for you.
