I am looking for a way to make my bundle options to be auto populated based on name/category.
I use bundle options to create custom-build server-systems.
We have 200+ different server brands/models.
Each time we have a new product (i.e: memory module), i have to add this single product to all 200+ server models to make the product available to the customer. This takes to much time.
It would be ideal if there is a way to auto-populate the options based on the option name.
i.e:
- If the option name is "Memory", this option is populated with all simple products inside the "Memory" category.
- If the option name is "Harddisk", this option is populated with all simple products inside the "Harddisk" category.
That way it would be easier to add new products to bundles. I only have to make a simple product, add it to a category and it will be added automaticly to all bundles which have an option with the same name as the category.
Anyone who knows about an extension that does this, or someone who can tell me how i have to create something like this myself?
I have some php knowledge but I haven't worked with Magento or Zend before.
