Can't see my new store additions

Hi,
I can see my new empty store with its original template etc. But I can't see my navigation or categories or products etc.
Is there a switch to enable my live site, is it in maintenance mode?

Assign default Category to newly created store from System > Manage Stores and you will be able to see the new additions.
