Cart page not redirecting to cart page after adding products

I have a problem in magento. When adding a products via add to cart button, it show items added to cart and stay remain on the same page. it nowhere redirects . So i want to redirect it to the cart page after adding the products. I have done it through magento via

system>configuration>Sales>Checkout>shoppingcart>After Adding a Product Redirect to Shopping Cart set to yes.

But nothing happened.. it stay remains on the same page. Can anyone help on this

Hi,

Please check if you have selected the correct option from admin, it is possible to have several websites and you have to choose the correct one. Also check if your checkbox for USE DEFAULT options is checked.
