How to work on absolute pricing with custom options in magento?

I have followed this tutorial to add custom options with absolute price,

but i have following concerns

When i view the products in front end the custom option with absolute price is also shown in dropdown like this

e.g original product cost 100

Size:

X + 200

Y + 300

it sholud be shown with plud symbol in case of abolute, and selecting the option X add to the original price i.e 100 + 200.

It should replace the 100 with 200 but its is not replacing.

ALthogh in cart it shows 200 only which is correct.

please suggest for the issues i have highlighted

Hi,

Absolute Price doesn't work that way. What you are talking about is about the Fixed Price in which the custom option price is added with the Product base price.

Absolute price override the base price and only shows the price of the custom option having type Absolute.

Absolute pricing not reflecting in the frontend.

Its showing all the required options in the backend, but on save the absolute option is changing to fixed.

I am following the below given link in 1.9 with rwd theme.  Anyone please reply
