Is this a guide that you know existed previously? If so, do you have the old URL?
More than a year ago we removed everything from the old magentocommerce.com wiki and put a lot of the content on wiki.magento.com.This article is not there, however.
I looked through my list of articles to migrate and didn't see one like you described.
