Magento 1.7.0.2 didn't send emails

Magento 1.7.0.2 didn't send emails

Hello Dears,

My webstore is running on a shared server(hostgator) and any emails from the store to gmail/hotmail/yahoo accounts aren't received.

I read a lot of tutorials about SPF / DKIM / DMARC and tried to use SMTP PRO in my installation but the problem isn't solved.

If I send emails from webmail(hostgator) to any accounts all are arriving without problems.

I tried to solve with hostgator chat but they also not solved it Smiley Sad

Anyone has a light to solve this problem please?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Carlos

Did you tested your smtp account which you used for sending transactional mails ?

I seem to be having similar issues with GoDaddy and our newsletters through a word press site, so commenting so I can follow.

Re: Magento 1.7.0.2 didn't send emails

Hello hidonet,

I tried to do some tests.

From backend I can send any emails from my store(hostgator) to my own domain account(webmail.mydomain.com). All emails arriving ok

I installed smtp pro and configured it as custom smtp settings using ssl/tls or not...the test generated by smtp informs that all is ok on the backend.

The problem occours when any email is sent to gmail/hotmail domains Smiley Sad

I learned in hostgator forum about SPF/DKIM/DMARC and applied his configs to my store email but....not solved yet and I'm so sad about it

Thanks in advance for any idea that you can suggest me!

Cheers

Re: Magento 1.7.0.2 didn't send emails

Your problem is not about your magento or any installed extension. Your problem is everyone's problem.

You have to check your server's outgoing ip address is added to any blacklist..
You can check it via : http://multirbl.valli.org/

If your ip is listed in a blacklist go to blacklist website and request to remove your ip.

If your ip is clean and not added any blacklist you can send mails to gmail. Sending mail to Hotmail is more complicated.

I advice you to use a smtp provider like mailchimp, mailgun, sendinblue etc. for transactional mails. They have strong teams for caring to send mails into inbox and they providing free account up to a limit...

Re: Magento 1.7.0.2 didn't send emails

Hello,

I did the test using my ip server.

Each time that I do that test...I have different results but yes the IP is blocklisted Smiley Sad

I have to contact each "site" to ask for remove?

Is it possible to change my ip address asking to my host service?

Thank you very much!
