Multiple Configurable Products with Same Simple Product

Hi, I have a company that has a reuirement that needs Multiple configurable products that use the same simple product.
I know this isnt possible by default. Is there a better way to get the same results or could someone help with how this can be accomplished.

First off let me break it down why I need this.

Config Product A, Config Product B, Config Product C

(they all need to be the same simple product when added to the cart)

(the user cant know that they are actually the simple product until added to the cart.)

Simple Product A

(the product that actually gets purchsed from all 3 Config Products above)

(inventory will be tracked.)

Can you be a little more specific in your question. For example, using the Magento Demo data I can see that I can add the same simple product to other configurable products.
