My designer is on Vaca how do I shut this website section off?

This section stopped functioning and in need to shut it off until my person gets back,

Hi,

It depends on the template you are using. There may be an option to do that via Magento admin panel. Alternatively, you can use FTP or something like that to comment out the section that is not functioning.
