Applying SUPEE-6788 removes static block on home page

Today I applied patch SUPEE-6788, and I noticed that the static block on my home page disappeared.

When I reverted the patch, the static block reappeared.

Any thoughts on what I should do about this?

Go to system-permissions-blocks and add the block and set it to allowed.

Not sure I understand - when I go to System/Permissions, the options are Users and Roles.

If they don't show after logging out/into the admin, I would suggest the patch hasn't successfully installed.

How do I know what to call the block? It was created in the CMS and is called home_page_content. I've tried cms/home_page_content and several other ideas, and none have made the block reappear.

Had similar problem.

You need to add the Block Type e.g. block type="catalog/product_list"

Add 'catalog/product_list' to block permissions!

How do I find out the block type? I created the static block in the CMS. It doesn't say anywhere.

I had the same problem. I added "cms/block" to the list an allowed it. Now everything works for me.

Using cms/block didn't do anything for me. Also tried cms/block/home_page_content.
