Get detailled information on magento installation

I want to know if there are offline tools/scripts for the following task:

• scan for installed patches
• list installed modules, categorized in code pool
• scan for other security risks

Basically, I am looking for an alternative to magescan which isn't working (wrong version returned, no module found, patches status unknown)
