I can not upload images after using the security patches

After updating my webstore with the security patches, the images are not visible anymore in the frontend and the admin area. I did change the permissions to 777 of the media folder and have just installed the latest patrch 7405 v1.1. I am still running 1.7.0.2 and have the older PHP 5.3

 

I did read a few websites with some older tricks, but those did not help me.

 

Who can help me?

Hi @EmptyRoom, just to confirm - did you clear all caches after installing SUPEE 7405 v1.1?

I did flush all caches on the backend of the site. Should I delete some folders to rebuild the cache in FTP?
